Luis A. Cervantes Castillo is a Parter at the Firm, where he has been working since 2004. He received a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from Columbia Law School in 2009 and the degree of Abogado (LLB.) from Escuela Libre de Derecho in 2006, where he graduated with honors. He is admitted to practice Law in Mexico since 2006.
Mr. Cervantes has represented national and multinational clients in a broad range of transactional matters, providing legal advice in the areas of corporate, finance and commercial law, including reorganizations, restructurings and work-outs, bankruptcy and cross-border insolvency procedures, project & corporate finance, mergers & acquisitions, foreign investment, joint ventures, infrastructure, real estate, gaming and telecommunications transactions. He has represented issuers and underwriters in capital markets transactions, both in debt and equity. He also has broad experience in the ﬁelds of commercial litigation, bankruptcy, and alternative dispute resolutions, with an emphasis in arbitration. His practice has included representation of national and international clients at all levels of the local and federal court system, at national and international arbitral tribunals, and at local and federal administrative tribunals and agencies.
In 2009 and 2010, Mr. Cervantes was a foreign associate in the corporate and litigation departments of Gibson Dunn & Crutcher LLP New York offices.
